The White House

I have always been super fascinated by the White House ever since I was little so I felt it was only fitting to do a blog post about it. The White House is a symbol that is recognized throughout the world. It represents the free world. Every president since John Adams has lived in the White House. It is very symmetrical looking and clean cut from the front. It was actually burnt down at one point by the British Army in the war of 1812. Today it boasts having 132 rooms and 35 bathrooms. I have never been to Washington, D.C., but I hope to go one day and to visit 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

I have visited here once. It is interesting and in a sense wonderful that we can experience being a part of what is thought of as the image of freedom in the United States.

  2. The White House is definitely a place that I want to visit before I die. It looks like a very interesting building that shows the image of freedom. Although not everyone loves the man that lives inside, you can’t deny that this building is wonderful.

The White House is such a beautiful building. I have always loved the style of it. As you mentioned the history in this building is outstanding. While I have never been to Washington DC I have always wanted to visit it. After reading your post I learned that the White House had been burt down in the past. That was something that I didn’t know.

  5. I have been to Washington before, but I have never been in the White House. I hope to go back someday and take a tour of the White House to see how it’s structured. It seems pretty cool from the inside.
