O’Neil Ford- Little Chapel in the Woods
This is the Little Chapel in the Woods that O’Neil Ford designed in the late 1930s in Denton, Texas. It’s a lovely chapel on the campus of Texas Womans University, dedicated to Elenor Roosevelt. The chapel is a beautiful stone structure, inside full of stunning glass windows displaying different women serving, created by students of the university.
This is a beautiful building, once dedicated to meditation and prayer, and now can be used for weddings. I think chapels are gorgeous structures, with their simplicitly, and light and holy air. This chapel especially shows Ford’s appreciation for light and beauty. The Little Chapel in the Woods would be an incredible place to visit.
