Neuschwanstein castle

I always enjoyed the Disney movie Cinderella when I was a child. While living in Europe I found out there was a castle near me that Disney used to design Cinderella’s castle at disney world. I couldn’t leave Europe without seeing the fairy tale castle. When visiting it, the castle was surrounded with snow. King Ludwig had the castle placed and built in this location, not for defense, but because he loved the views. When seeing the castle, I must say he picked a gorgeous view. The castle was finished in 1863, and sadly King Ludwig never got to see the finished product.

  1. Wow. I’m assuming this has influenced you in a positive way because it looks so spectacular! I can’t imagine what hard labor and intricate design went into creating such a ginormous castle. It truly is beautiful, and I’m glad you were able to see it.

I went there this passed January! It is gorgeous! It is also one heck of a hike to get to the top, but the view is gorgeous so it is definitely worth it! I loved seeing all of the swan decor on the inside too!

  4. I love Disney movies! But that is really cool that you use to live in Europe and got to see the castle. Hopefully I will travel there one day and explore it.
