Leaving the eastern hemisphere and much closer to Norman, there is this fine piece of work by Tadao Ando: the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth aka “The Modern.” The current stucture designed by Tadao was opened in 2002 and has 53,000 square feet of gallery space.  The museum itself consists of 5 long halls that open into a reflection pool that look out onto the city.  The photo above illustrates Tadao Ando’s use of simple and sleek materials and design, with long lines, glass, and cement.
