IMG_1243 IMG_1244 IMG_1245 Louis Kahn was an American architect born in Russia but grew up in Philadelphia. Louis Kahn’s works are considered as monumental beyond modernism. Famous for his meticulously built works, his provocative proposals that remained unbuilt, and his teaching, Kahn was one of the most influential architects of the twentieth century.He was awarded the AIA Gold Medal and the RIBA Gold Medal for his works of art. At the time of his death he was considered by some as “America’s foremost living architect.” Most of his work was focused around a geometric and symmetrical style. You can see here from the Kimbell Art museum in Fort Worth, TX the shape is semi-circular, arch like style but very symmetrical throughout both on the inside and out.
