Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium

IMG_0169 This is a picture of Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium that I took a couple of years ago during the Bedlam game. Yes, the “re-punt” game, but I won’t go into that. This particular building might be one of the main reasons that I decided to come to OU. Growing up a sports fan in Oklahoma, when it comes to football, there’s no other choice besides OU. Well, I guess there is but not if you like to win. I came to this stadium many, many times growing up and fell more in love with it each and every trip. I remember how big it seemed when I was little, and the times we’d sit near the top of the upper deck I felt like I was looking down from a skyscraper. And now with the renovations I can’t wait to see how it is going to end up, and to see how it will affect each little kid that comes to the stadium on game day, just like it did for me. Therefore, this stadium has definitely impacted my life- in more ways than one!

The stadium looks pretty big from the outside, but you definitely have to go inside to see how immense it really is. I too have grown up a Sooner fan and look forward to every time I get to step foot in the stadium to watch a football game. The energy this stadium puts off on game day is like no other. BOOMER SOONER!
