Blog #6 – Leaning Tower Of Pisa
Leaning Tower Of Pisa
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most remarkable structures in Europe and in the world because of its unique architectural design and its sustainability to stay upright for almost a thousand years. Building work on the tower began around the mid 1100s in Pisa, Italy and building took around 300 years to complete. This bell tower is most well known for its tilt. Many people, including Galileo, have studied this building to try to understand how it remains upright. There has been much controversy surrounding the true identity of the architect. It was given attribution to artist Bonnano Pisano but studies have also shown it can be attributed to architect Diotisalvi but the absolute true architect will most likely remain a mystery forever.
