The Burj Khalifa, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is currently the tallest artificial structure in the world standing 2,722 feet (829.8m). First constructed in 2004, the Burj Khalifa finished construction in 2010 mainly constructed with reinforced concrete and large amounts of glass to give the exterior its beautiful view. The building was designed by Adrian Smith, who also played a part in the Willis Tower and the One World Trade Center. The building as received many awards and has set several records that range from tallest building in the world to world’s highest nightclub. Inside this mammoth structure is a hotel, apartments, restaurants, nightclubs, and corporate offices. The building is exceptionally large and tall and it will play a huge part in the direction of which this city is growing, which is gigantic.

  1. What an incredible structure the Burj Khalifa must be. After learning so much about it this semester, I hope to one day visit Dubai! Also, great picture. I love how the surrounding city compliments this building so greatly.
