The Vyborg Library is located in Vyborg, Russia. It was designed by famous architect Alvar Aalto and built in 1935. However, when it was built, Vyborg was considered territory of Finland. My favorite feature of the library is the wave shaped ceiling in the auditorium. Aalto said that this chosen shape was based on acoustic studies. The structure is considered one of the first expressions of regional modernism. Currently, it is known as the Central City Alvar Aalto Library.
