Oaktree Elementary is my hometown’s school for preschool and third through fifth grade. My dad teaches here, so I would spend an hour or two in his classroom after school every day until I was old enough to drive. Between school, after school, and soccer practice (the fields are to the left of what is pictured), I spent more time at this school than any other place that wasn’t home. The building itself is relatively simple. There is one main hallway and six smaller hallways branching off of it, three on each side. The ceilings were just high enough that my brother and I could try to play football in the hallways, but they were still low enough that we would usually get in trouble for hitting them with the ball. Overall, my memories of Oaktree are good.
