This is the Moore Warren Theatre built in 2008. I am from Moore and have witnessed this particular building go through many stages. For starters, everyone in Moore was extremely excited that we were getting such a great movie theater to enjoy for years to come. Since it’s opening day, it  has brought in hundred of thousands of people through the city of Moore, therefore boosting the success of the many businesses that surround it.

Personally, I adore the Warren. The outside of this building displays large neon lights which immediately attract eyes from all the way out to I-35. The seating space, quality, and style was very intricately designed to compliment a customer’s entire experience.

My favorite aspect of the Warren is the domed ceiling when you first walk in. It is painted a beautiful navy blue with a variety of Greek mythological characters dancing around. They have lights that circle the dome which give spotlight to the magnificence of the entire design.

Lastly, this building is strong. Moore was hit by a major tornado in 2013 that caused extreme devastation across the city of Moore. This tornado leveled and destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses…. Except the Warren. The above picture shows the aftermath of the Warren after the 2013 tornado. Now, if you know anything about tornadoes, then you should know that come quickly and with VERY little warning to take shelter. Therefore, the people who were inside the Warren had no time to leave for other shelter. Here’s the best part and why I love the Warren so dearly– Not a single person was close to harm. It withstood the horrendous F-5 tornado that destroyed my hometown, and still stands proudly today.

PS… NOTE… The eery words and letters that remained after the tornado hit on the outside bulletin board. For example: “into darkness”, “Oblivion”, and “Pain and gain”.

I agree with everything that you said here. The design of the building makes going to the movies at the theater a fun experience. For me it made going to the movies fun again. I also agree that this building symbolizes so much more after the Moore 2013 tornado. This speaks volumes for the building itself as well as the resilience of the city of Moore. The words remaining on the building after the tornado were eery, but very real to the situation at hand.

I absolutely love the Warren! It makes going to the movies an enjoyable experience! I love the grandiosity of the Warren! I really love the director’s suite!!! I went to the Warren after the tornado and there was another tornado heading that way and because of the resilience of the building in the first one, I felt safe inside! I think the eery words left on the marquee after the tornado were very interesting!

This movie theater is world class, the structure had to cost millions as it is a grand place to view a movie. The domed ceilings are impressive especially for an Oklahoma movie house. The price of movies isn’t outrageous here so I get to enjoy the building a couple times a year. The tornado part is also interesting because the building took a direct hit from the tornado and was left standing. In all this building makes the movie experience much better than in the subpar structures of their competitors, and I see the Warren staying here for generations to come.

I love the Warren too! it is an awesome place to go and hangout with friends or on a dat. It seems to be a very well constructed building and it for sure in a danger zone! I really enjoyed you post.

  6. Warren theater is a great place to hangout with friends including family. It is a well put together building. Although, it is in the danger zone of a tornado, but hopefully they can come up with better ways to make the building safer in case of emergencies. Great reading!
