Rose State College was the first university I attended and I have never regretted it. This building, the Humanities building, may not look like much, and it may be ugly, but my life was changed in that building. I came to Rose State a nervous but excited freshman. College was a whole new experience and in college we are given so much more freedom and responsibility than in high school. This wasn’t the first building I had a class in at Rose State, however it’s the building I remember the most of. In this building I met my favorite professor, who encouraged me to pursue a degree in English. She is the reason I am an English major and she has built so much confidence in me. All of the teachers here at Rose take the time to encourage and challenge their students. That’s why I love this building so much. The actual building is not unique or special, but the people inside of it, the ones who invest in you and let you know how much they care about your education, are what make this building special.
