The Boston Avenue Methodist Church is located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was designed by Adah Robinson and Bruce Goff. The church was completed in 1929 and was considered to be one of the finest Art Deco architecture in the United States. The church consist of a 225-foot tower of a semicircular auditorium. However, at the top of the tower is a stylized sculpture that represents two praying hands. This church used various building materials such as metal, terra cotta, glass, Minnesota granite and Indiana limestone. The Boston Avenue Methodist Church was designed to express traditional religious principles. I like the exterior of this church which has numerous sculptures of people at prayer that represents the spiritual life.
