Eighth Avenue Place is an office building consisting of two towers in Calgary. The Southeast tower was completed in 2011 and the Northwest Tower was completed in 2014. It was Canada’s first and North America’s second LEED Platinum certified skyscraper and includes a three story high indoor urban park. The towers are built on the former site of Calgary’s historic Penny Lane Mall. Eighth Avenue Place was built in an effort to establish Calgary as a growing and thriving metropolitan area. The towers give the city an architectural focal point and contribute to its extensive skyline.
